After six seasons, one hundred and ninety six appearances, and twenty seven goals, Bohan Dixon has left Warrington Town FC. The Yellows legend departs for Northern Premier League side Macclesfield FC, who earlier this season poached Luke Duffy from Town, for around four thousand pounds.
Dixon adds to the list of recent departures at Warrington Town which include the likes of Mitch Duggan (Vauxhall Motors), Lewis Sinnot (Vauxhall Motors), Jordan Buckley (FC United) and Aaron Bennet (FC United). These departures have brought transfer fees into the club and have stopped wages coming out, which helps with the funds needed to renovate the UNIS Compliance Stadium.
Rumours are circling that the Yellows are looking to bring in another forward as club captain Josh Amis will miss the next couple of months due to an ankle injury. Another rumour is that a former Town forward is training with the squad but this has not been confirmed by the club or notable reporter Matthew Turner.
One thing is for certain, Bohan Dixon will be missed and as manager Mark Beesley stated, "He'll go down as one of the greatest players in Warrington Town's history."
