t's back! The blog has returned and with it will come some new and exciting news regarding The Town Reporter which will be revealed at the end of this write up. For now though, lets look at the past week and what we can look forward to in the coming weeks!

Let's start with the news some dreaded but was innevitable. Connor Woods' departure. This following Monday after weeks of rumours regarding his future, Connor Woods signed for Chester FC for £12,500. Town's Talisman left following 92 appearances and 29 goals for the club, as well as being top scorer at the club with 6 goals respectivley. Although many saw this as a big negative and a blow to our survival hopes, I see it as more of a positive. Connor was and is a brilliant player who was a fiend off a free-kick and was always a danger on the right wing for any opponent. Despite this, none of his goals this season have come in open play, he wouldn't sign a new contract that would've made him the highest paid player at the club and he was always leaving at the end of the season due to his aspirations. Yes there is a brilliant player that we have lost but his free-kicks aren't going to be the thing that keeps us up but the money might. £12,500 is a lot of money for Town considering our record signing was Woods for £10,000. This could be distributed across the squad and potentially give us a few different options to improve as well as helping the club off the pitch with Cantilever Park. Add this with him not being able to play against again this season and I believe that this will be looked at as good business in the coming seasons for both Town and Connor and I wish Woods all the best and that he smashes it at Chester (Just not against us if we stay up)

Now a positive! Former Premier League winger Craig Noone has signed for Warrington Town following his return to England after a legnthy spell in Australia as a player and coach. The Liverpool-born player came through non-league at Skelmersdale, Bursough and Southport before signing for Plymouth Argyle and journeying through the EFL at Brighton, Cardiff and Bolton, making over 250 Championship appearances! He then departed for Australia, signing for A-League side Melbourne City before ending his time at Macarthur FC. After a breif spell coaching their, he has returned to the UK and signed for the Town as a player-coach. This is a brilliat bit of business from the Yellows as experience is exactly what we need and an attacking coach could be so beneficial to Town's young forward line. With him being eligibale this Saturday, we can only hope he'll make a big impact on and off the pitch! Another signing is expected soon subject to international clearance as well as another loanee.

Now the big news! We will be doing a weekly match day review on The Town Reporter, in order to share the amazing experiences away from and at home in what remains of the season!

Well, it's great to be writing again and I look forward to doing more blogs soon! Up the Town!
