Welcome to first Town Reporter Awards, where we acknowledge the best of Warrington Town on and off the pitch. Throughout the week, votes have taken place to crown a winner in 5 different categories. These categories included Flag of the Season, Song of the Season, Fan of the Season, Moment of the Season and Follower's Player of the Season. Now, with. the votes concluded we announce the winners and why they won this award.
Flag of the Season

First up is the Flag of the Season which is actaully a draw. The two winners were the Bergen Yellows flag (as seen on the image) and the Super Mark Beesley flag. Both flags have followed home and away all season and will continue do so and are rightful winners. The Toby Macormac flag has the unfortunate honour of last and the Connor Woods flag finishes in second.
Fan of the Season

An award that every fan that turned up home and away this season, The Town Reporter had to narrow it down to some memorable fans and the vote did end in a draw too. Collete and Jane (As seen in the image) and fan favourite fan Springy clinch the honour. Both rightfully deserve this award with Collete and Jane's fantastic work with bucket collections and fan events and Springy's commitment to Warrington Town, always following home and away with his flags. Prope fan! Jesus takes second place as well as his pints of water (I mean beer) and the dog that always attends game in kit, takes third. Bravo all.
Moment of the Season

It's no suprise what moments won the award. It's rare enough that your goalkeeper scores a goal in their career, let alone twice in one season. Danny Atherton's goals vs Alfreton and Farsely Celtic win the award emphatically. The opening day thrashing of Southport takes second and the 3-0 away win at Curzon and Josh Amis' winner against Chester are joint third.
Song of the Season

It's another draw in the Song of the Season as month loanee, Josh Popoola's song (based on Tequila) and Evan Gumbs' 'magic' song take a joint win. Si señor for Josh Amis gets second and the always brilliant Warrington is Wonderful song takes 3rd. There have been so other many great songs that all could have taken this award and they will all continue to be belowed out by The Shed.
Followers' Player of the Season

No suprise that the Fan's Player of the Season for Warrington Town has won the Followers' Player of the Season for The Town Reporter. He has been expeptional this season, and definitley has won The Yellows many points this season at both ends of the pitch. Following Atherton's second award, Connor Woods comes second following his 14 goals and Isaac Buckley-Ricketts comes third for his 14 also. Andre Wisdom comes 4th following a terrfic return to football. The whole squad deserves a mention however as they all have been brilliant throughout this record breaking season!
And with that, the first Town Reporter Awards comes to an end. I would like to thank the entire fanbase for an impecible season of following an incredible side. We now look to see what happens at our beloved Yellows before a second season in the National League North!
